Spent three nights here in early Oct with my wife and son. We loved it here, nestled among the honeymyrtle and melalueacas. What it lacks in views it makes up in peace and quiet. The only sounds are the birds and the waves of Vivonne Bay beach about 80m away. My son and I made great use of the Point Ellen jetty about 5min drive around the bay. We bought a crab net from the General Store and over the days caught 6 undersized sand crabs, a coupla rock rod and a giant octopus! We let it go obviously, but it certainly was a gr8.
The split-level accommodation is really well appointed and super cosy. The kitchen is excellent, the high timber roof over the lower level looks the piece and the space is easily heated by the combustion fireplace. We didn't have any visits from wildlife as we'd hoped, but on walks we did see echindna, super fairy wren and koalas lazing about on limbs.
Overall, kinda magical and definitely peaceful. The missus rested long into the morning and drank coffee in the sunshine reading her book as the boys fished.
The only drawbacks - a power failure for a few hours one morning and bees in the roof on the opposite side to the entrance (phew) Some got inside but only appeared to be dying on the sunny window sill in the kitchen(?), stuff easily dealt with.
