We stayed at this facility for 5 nights in July 2022. This was the last room available on the website, and going by the advertised pictures, it appeared pretty good for the duration of our stay.
Because our airfares were all booked as well, I went ahead with this accommodation.
But upon arrival at this resort, we found the accommodation very disappointing to say the least.
It was a small room with a queen bed. There was no furniture inside the room -- not even a chair to sit. There was no microwave, even though it was mentioned on the advertisement.
Furthermore, the room wasn't clean at all and yes... Ants were a big problem in these dated, run down rooms. Ants were crawling everywhere, had to use insect spray few times a day. There was hardly any room service.
There are no restaurants/eateries or supermarkets nearby. Darwin city is about 6.5 km from here.
This was no Resort at all and the advertising pictures were quite misleading so to speak.
We however. managed our 5 nights stay here because we were mostly out the whole day.
This place urgently needs refurbishment/upgrading & maintenance to make it liveable for the paying guests.
I wouldn't recommend this place. Do your research before booking here.
I'm very grateful to the Darwin resort As I was stranded. The rooms are expensive but I was in peak season. bare minimum in rooms there are some units which I have not taken and looked at. There's a small pool and barbecue area which is nice. There are laundry facilities and a communal kitchen which is handy of course. Staff are very friendly. A drawback is it's by a major highway and an airport which makes things very noisy. And next door to a BP service station.
