Only 3 days in after taken the delivery of a new Hyundai. I needed to book the car in for an issue . Brought my car in and the service department done the first service already. Even though the car has only been driven for 10 days. Service department informed that there is a "recall" issue which Hyundai is aware. A spare part will be ordered from Sydney which should arrive within 7 days.
7 days in, I heard nothing from the service department. Called in to check on status, only to be inform by the receptionist that she doesn't know which order needed to be ordered in. 1 more week later, the part finally arrived. I am booked in for the second time. Only to be informed that the dealer does not have a spare loan car. I would think that if your customer is booked in for "Warranty Repair". A dealer usually go out of its way to find a loan car for the customer.
A day before picking up the car, I called in to make sure that the car is ready. Ashley told me the car is ready for pick up the next day. I arrived and only to find out the car is not fixed. Hyundai think there is a bigger issue with the car. So a spare part will need to be ordered from Korea which might take up to 8 weeks to arrive.
It appears that the service department did not treat my issue seriously and did not conduct a thorough check the first time. This is a brand new car which only been drove for 10 days. And there is an issue with the car already.
As for the receptionist, there were no follow up with the parts. I have be the one to chase up to make sure service department does their job. As for the second time, when I called up to make sure the car is ready. Ashley could have told me over the phone that the car has not been fixed. But a spare part has been ordered again.
Bad customer service experience to say the least.
