Steve Downs is a reliable, honest, diligent and well organised straight shooter.
He was chosen by master metalworker Ben Doust in 2014, to assist him in extending the aesthetically significant fence Ben (Cado Metal Design) fabricated and installed to my Keane St Pep't Grove project (1992-6).
In 2013 these same owners engaged me to design extensive below ground garaging and extended fencing. As Cado Metal Design was no longer operating I was concerned Ben would lack the resources to undertake this important complex work.
Ben suggested Steve Downs and after a brief introductory meeting with both at PREMIUM GATES AND FENCING, it was apparent that Ben had great confidence in Steve making them the perfect alliance to deliver the project.
Steve's willingness to listen and collaborate, while suggesting practical solutions to design, transportation and installation issues, paid huge dividends in the finished work and I can highly recommend his honesty, dexterity and problem-solving capacity.
If you need gates and fencing, know that Steve Downs will deliver on his promises and you will not be short-changed.

We are very pleased and relieved we chose Steve to make our fence and gates. His outstanding workmanship, his understanding of the material he is working with, his attention to detail and his excellent understanding of aesthetics and paint created our beautiful fence and gates that we admire to this day. We got the fence and gates made for security but they have also raised the value of our home - Thank you Steve - it was such a positive experience working with such a professional person.
