A community run jazz club that exudes fun and love for good trad jazz. And they delivered that last night. It’ll be the first thing I do again when I return to SA
Without a doubt, my favourite and one of the best jazz clubs in Australia. Over the years, I've performed at the Highway on many occasions and have nothing but the highest praise for Craig Carle, Lyn Dugmore, the committee and the fantastic membership that flock to their regular events. In late March this year, I brought over three of the best musicians of the Melbourne Jazz Scene - Steven Grant, Jon Hunt and James Macaulay. We were delighted to be invited, looked after so well on all levels and greatly enjoyed playing to such an appreciative sizable audience. Special thanks to locals Ally Cunningham, Henry Francis and Graham Breeding for joining us on stage on the night. Due to covid-19, I am so disappointed we won't be able to get to Goolwa and the club to play for you in October. I hope the festival and club can continue to keep the music coming without hindrance from the pandemic. Hoping to get back to SA as soon as we can.
