About Ishinryu Karate Australia - Menai classes for all ages
Ishinryu Karate Australia has been established in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney for over 30 years. Our mission is to make karate a part of every person's healthy lifestyle, from pre-school age kids to grandparents.
Our Australian founder and head of style Sensei Tony Hails 8th Dan is the current national mentor coach to Karate Fiji and a former Australian national coach, captain and champion. Our chief instructor is Sensei Alison Peachey 6th Dan.
Classes focus on developing the ability of each individual student, improving their coordination, fitness and flexibility. By the nature of karate we teach self defence and vastly improve a students' confidence. We have specific classes for students from age 4 to 50+ and are located at Menai.
