About Tamborine Mountain Pickleball

The mountain’s old disused tennis court at ‘The Manor’ has been converted into two brand new Pickleball courts for the benefit of the Tamborine Mountain residents, their friend, and family.
Pickleball is a game played indoors or out, as singles / doubles, on a court the size of a badminton court over a low tennis-style net. It’s played with an ultralight paddle and a plastic ‘whiffle ball’ a bit larger than a tennis ball but with holes in. The scoring takes you through to eleven and the winners must be ahead by two. Games are relatively short, so players waiting in the wings for a court are assured of a game without much delay. Warning: This sport is known to be habit forming, and highly addictive.
