About Queanbeyan Museum
Queanbeyan Museum tells the story of Queanbeyan from its earliest beginnings. Housed in the beautiful 1876 Old Police Sergeant's Residence, it has fascinating exhibits ranging from children's toys to an iron lung used to treat polio in the 1950s. We would love you to visit and show you around! There are 13 display areas plus a purpose built storage building for our collection, enabling the displays to be changed regularly. See a complete blacksmith shop, a 20m artistic mural of Queanbeyan's history, a sample of our extensive camera collection, how Grandma cooked and did the laundry plus explorations of indigenous history, bushrangers, businesses and hotels.
