About Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum
Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum aims to interpret and display the domestic and agricultural lifestyles of people in the Tea Tree Gully area for the period from the 1850s to 1950s. Management and maintenance is by volunteers.
The Museum includes a prominent two storey blue stone building opened in 1854, plus display pavilions, police holding cell and working blacksmith shop. The grounds include lawn and gardens, plus displays of agricultural machinery.
Activities include school visits, group tours, monthly themed 'Heritage on Sunday' openings and special events. The premises are also hired out for meetings and functions, including weddings.
