About Daintree National Park

Daintree National Park is comprised of two sections—Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation. The crystal-clear waters of the Mossman River cascade over granite boulders in Mossman Gorge while Cape Tribulation features rainforest-clad mountains that sweep down to long sandy beaches.

In Mossman Gorge, take short walks through the rainforest and along the river. In the Cape Tribulation section, picnic in day-use areas, and explore the many walking tracks through lowland rainforest and mangrove habitats. Camp by the beach at Noah Beach.

In the Daintree, two world heritage areas (the Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics) meet.

The Daintree is part of the traditional lands of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji people..
