An interesting granite rock with a historic water catchment system still in place.

The rock is fairly large but is not particularly high. There are reasonable views from some parts of the rock, but the views aren't as spectacular as from some other wheatbelt rocks.

There is a historic water catchment system on the rock, with low rock walls collecting water and funneling into a pipe and then into a large concrete tank. It still seems to be functioning, but when we visited there seemed to be a fair bit of leakage from the walls and water was not flowing into the tank, despite considerable rain. There is also a few remains of what appears to be a dam structure that was used before the tank was built.

The sign makes reference to gnamma holes, but we were only able to find one.

The rock can be accessed from the Newcarlbeon Rock Campground, on the north side of the reserve, off Newcarlbeon Road. The rock isn't visible from the camping area and there is no marked track, but it is just a short walk through the bush if you head in the right direction.

Quite a large surface area of rock with small walls channelling the water run off. Plenty of room for camping and toilets also.
