Canberra Nursery Specialising in Australian Natives Situated just 30 mins from Canberra and Yass, IDP Nursery specialise in supplying Australian native plants to home gardeners in throughout Canberra, ACT and the Southern NSW towns of Yass, Goulburn, Queenbeyan and surrounds. IDP Nursery Native Plants A lifelong passion about horticulture and our natural flora, Iris Philp created the native plants nursery as a showcase to some of Australia's most beautiful plant life. With over 25 years experience in horticulture, including 10 years working with the Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG), Iris retired from the botanic gardens to start the IDP Nursery and allow her knowledge of the local flora to spread throughout the home gardener enthusiasts in and around Canberra. Native Plants for Home Gardens to Wholesalers IDP Nursery features gardens of mature plants which are open for viewing to showcase the local plant life that flourishes in the right climate, soils and its natural nvironment. Also available for retail, wholesale and the domestic sector are a wide range of seedlings and open end potted plants, shrubs and small trees. Subject to availability our plants come in 70mm & 90mm tubes, native grasses are 42mm plugs and special orders can be made in a forestry pot. All our plants are grown in local conditions to cope with the extremes of ACT weather. IDP Heritage Tomatoes A special mention must be made of IDP's tomato range - a true passion for Iris and available October to mid November. This range alone is worth the visit to the nursery if in season just to taste what home grown tomatoes can taste like!
