We did this track last weekend with another Landcruiser, were going to take the short track but decided to keep going up the hill, pretty steep & rocky in places but no problem…we did come across a young “P” plater attempting it on his own though, in the first section he was stuck in a hole so we stopped & guided him out, he was pretty shaken. Later on when we got to the harder track we saw him coming back up from the river & he got in between us & the other car. We had to keep going because of the steep track & friends called on the radio to say that the young fella was slipping back towards them & then becoming sideways, they moved off the track to give him room & thankfully he was able to straighten up & headed back to the easy track. I wonder if at that section where the 12km track turns off it could be signed & noted that the next section is difficult. We do hope he got out of the track safe & sound.
