About Dr Mark Loane - Ophthalmologist

Dr Mark Loane specialises in cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment. He also treats a range of corneal disorders, including pterygium and corneal infections, as well as medical retina conditions. In addition to these specialist areas, Dr Loane provides more general eye care. Dr Loane is heavily involved in community and charitable eye foundations. He is on the board of the Eye Foundation and Guide Dogs Queensland. He is passionate about indigenous eye health, and is Head of the Cape York Eye Health Project, whose focus is delivering eye health services to remote communities in the Cape York Peninsula. For his work with remote rural and indigenous people, he is a Member of the Order of Australia.
