very sorry to hear about the previous reviewer/s experience and i don't know what happened there. i would like to say that Dr Paul Sambrook has listened to me empathetically and has advocated on my behalf, to other doctors. Once he even consulted with me free of charge at his private rooms at Oromax, when their computer system was down. They were therefore unable to process the bulk billing for me. So he waived the fee. I am very grateful for his assistance.
Dr Sambrook performed a genioplasty and removed my daughter's wisdom teeth. She was sent home without antibiotics or pain relief. Exactly 10 days after surgery her face and jaw swelled up. Sambrook finally gave her antbiotics. This reoccurred for four months with infection after infection. She finally saw Sambrook's Locum who was so concerned he sent my daughter for an xray and found that not only were the screws coming out of the plate but there were signs of infection. She was admitted to Royal Adelaide Hospital and put under the care of the Maxillofacial and Infectious Diseases Teams who were appalled at the mess she was in and repeatedly asked who had done this to her and commented that it shouldn't be happening. She had emergency surgery to remove her plate which was infected and clean up the infection. Sambrook never came near her or followed up. She spent weeks on heavy antibiotics,was so ill she had to give up her Year 12 Schooling and lost her place and Scholarship at Ballet School in London. Sambrook has a lot to answer for.
