Everytime I've come here there is only one pathologist on and there is always at least a 30 minute wait, seemingly due to this. The one pathologist does have a very relaxed demeanour and never seems to rush, even when there is a full wait room.
Currently baffled and annoyed with this place. Never had an issue here until now; have always found the service very pleasant and professional. For reasons unknown, I was told by the pathologist who usually administers the tests that she only accepts forms for Clinipath and nowhere else. She turned me away as a result. I couldn't get important labs done in my available window on that particular day, due to this (as I had been given a Clinical Labs form) and drove around looking for a different facility the next day - one that would accept all forms. However, I called up the place today to double-check whether they still had a policy of not accepting forms from other places and was told they have always accepted Clinical Labs forms, Western Diagnostic forms etc. What on earth? I informed them that I had been told otherwise by the pathologist who usually works there and genuine confusion seemed to be the response. Pretty unimpressed, I have to say (but not with the different pathologist on the phone today - it is not her fault that I was given this information and refused previously). I would like some clarity on this matter, if possible, because the usual pathologist is excellent otherwise and I can't imagine that she would knowingly give me false information - there must be a misunderstanding or miscommunication somewhere?
