About Greyhounds As Pets Western Australia
Our mission is to ensure that every healthy and behaviourally sound retired greyhound finds their forever home. At GAP WA, we promote, encourage and facilitate greyhound pet ownership throughout the state and aim to break down stigmas often associated with the breed. The Dog Regulations 2013 prescribed GAP as a training organisation for the purpose of exempting a greyhound from wearing a muzzle in public - we are the only pet adoption agency in WA who can issue "Green Collars".
GAP is a program powered by Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA), whose mission is to ensure that the best levels of care are given to greyhounds throughout all stages of their lives, through a program of investment, education, monitoring and regulation.
