About A1 Pet Meats
A1 Pet Meats produces its own harvested animals to meat for all our products. Kangaroos are harvested by licensed shooters who collect the animals from areas where their numbers need to be controlled. They are supplied to us immediately after harvesting (which is regulated by a code of conduct) and chilled in our cooling facilities at a temperature of 2.5 to 3 degrees C. Subsequently they are skinned and de boned by qualified people under the supervision of a certified meat inspector who checks all meat produced on its suitability for pet food.
All other meat such as Beef, Lamb, Chicken and fish are either harvested from farmers following the same procedure as the Kangaroos or supplied by HACCP regulated supplier's.
