We had an unfortunate incident where we were nearly out of fuel and just made it to this service station only to find it closed. We thought we were saved when we looked through the glass and saw the owners inside. We knocked and called out apologising for disturbing them but advising that we were desperate and willing to pay for the added inconvenience only for them to make eye contact and look away. We continued to please our case for a period but they ignored us entirely. RAC was unable to get someone to us for several hours and so we door knocked and the most lovely lady came yo our aid. She told us that this happens all the time and that the owners were well known to be the sort of people who will help no one but themselves. How miserable must you be to not help someone in need? Awful.
