Simons portfolio of highly polished and edited images on his website does not reflect the images I was supplied. I came to him because his imagery looked almost plastic perfect. I was quoted according to complexity of the finish (gave examples) but I was given very washed out, unprocessed images… some with awkward angles and glare. I spent the entire day with Simon as per his request. A few times he got short with me because I asked him for his expert opinion on ideas and/or help with composition. Simon seemed to struggle with my concepts and became agitated i needed him to have a little creative input. I just don’t feel like he could capture the strong hero image and I ended up with basic photos just to keep the peace. He wasn’t very talkative or try to work through it with me at first. There was a tension in the room that I had to break first. Not the best communicator in the room or in the lead up to the event (I.e telling me what to prepare) If you want to work with Simon maybe bring the exact same image for him to copy or be prepared to set up each scene yourself!! This was my first time working with someone this expensive. I really hoped for next level service :(
