Words are really not enough to explain my experience with Johannes and spending time with him as my teacher. Would it help if I told you the last competition I entered I only got 1 picture accepted out of 4 and this year I got 3 out of 4 accepted.
My photography horizons have broadened and I now see so many different things that weren't there before. Light, shade, backgrounds, foregrounds, people, colour. . ... and a lot more. He is awesome with your post photo editing. JR knows Photoshop like the back of his hand - you just have to tell him to slow down every now and again. Lol.
I can not emphasise enough that you will have a great time and you will learn a lot. Johannes is fun to be with and an amazing photographer who doesn't hold back with his advice and teachings. He is also negotiable about how you go into your training, it's about your vision for your photography not his.
Shhh don't tell him we all know he has a big heart of gold and he actually loves helping people, so I believe you will not feel any awkwardness when you are with him about your own photography.
All I can say is go for it and see what you learn. I know I did and I'm glad I did and am still doing.
