For almost two years, I would have a pleasant conversation with the two owners. For the past six months or more, it’s been mostly listening to what is happening with some challenges.
However, the moment I was trying to track down a parcel everything changed. I was immediately accused of lying. I also listened to the owner falsely telling Australia Post over the phone that they often give me items without asking for me to sign. Whereas I have always had to provide a card to collect items and sign for ones that needed a signature. While I was in the shop I was so appalled to be treated like a liar so immediately upon trying to find a parcel (I had called the Australian Post number previously to track where it was meant to be). Then the male owner got so loud and angry that I had to hold my hand up and tell him how unacceptable he was being. I noted that I had read the online reviews previously and his response was to tell me to write a long one too.
I guess I’m gutted because when there are no issues, except for waiting for the man to get off the mobile phone, the couple were lovely. However one lost parcel and now I never want to step foot in that shop again.
