As a stay at home mum, one of my primary concerns was whether my child would be "social enough". As he has never left at daycare, we were also concerned that he would suffer separation anxiety when it came time for kindy.
So I enrolled my son in the structured playgroup first with the view that we could then ease him into the "Steps to Kindy Program" with minimal tears. And that absolutely worked out a treat!
My son is now one of the many graduates of Kingfisher Park Preschool's Step to Kindy program, and this is due to the amazing Mrs Oswald and Mrs Tulloch.
Both ladies have such genuine love for their little friends and the kids really feel it. They give their all planning amazing activities for the kids and are always available for a chat if parents have any concerns. The kids don't just learn their ABCs but how to interact with one another safely and kindly.
My son started out not wanting to be away from me and saying his teachers should stay home(!)... to ABANDONING me at drop off because he was so excited to see his teachers and friends for another fun day at school!
My son has blossomed in his time with the ladies. I know he is going to do so much better at kindy now thanks to the nurturing he received at Kingfisher Park Preschool.
While I am so proud of him, it is a bittersweet moment knowing that he is going to miss preschool.
Thank you so much Mrs Oswald and Mrs Tulloch. We really will miss you.
