About The Record

The Record, incorporating The eRecord and The Record Magazine, are the official publications of the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth. We report first hand on the message of Perth Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB in addition to the news and events from parishes across the Archdiocese of Perth, and highlights of Catholic news nationally and internationally. As one of Australia’s oldest weekly publications, The Record was first established as a newspaper on 6 July 1874. After 140 years, The Record Newspaper was transformed into two publications, a weekly online edition, The eRecord, and a bi-monthly magazine, The Record Magazine. Our mission is to support Catholics to engage in the message of the Gospel.
