As a first time home buyer my experience was less than overwhelming. I knowingly went in purchasing a partially renovated ‘fixer upper’. The day everything settled I received my keys and arrived at the property 6pm on a Friday. The thrill of opening the door for the first time quickly turned to disappointment. Keys don’t work. In fact none of the keys on the key ring fit any of the doors.(sorted 3 days later) yep couldn’t even unlock my own house. Real estate advised me that a roller door had been left unlocked so I entered my new house via that, again really not an experience that a first home buyer should have to go through - especially as this was my first time entering the house since I officially ‘owned’ it. Upon entering I found that the house was not empty. There was extremely personal items from previous owners strewn around, kitchen appliances, food items in cupboards and a rusty old fridge still in the kitchen. There was dirt and dust everywhere. Dirty footprints from the ‘staged furniture’ removal crew. There is no way a cleaner had been through since the inspection to me purchasing the house. Not the happy new beginnings it should have been.
2 months later emailed Real estate in an attempt to get some information from the previous owners about the new kitchen they installed for warranty on a cooktop. Response from Renee was ‘leave it with me, l’ll see what I can do’. Email 1 month later and then another month after that with the same response. 10months and $1000 later still waiting for that response.
In the market for an investment property now and will be seriously reconsidering anything listed by Amadio Property Group.
