We first contacted Anneli at Scarp 4-5 years ago about a home we were interested in. She worked behind the scenes to enable us to get a viewing of the home. We were not successful in purchasing that property, however it was Anneli’s care and obvious interest in us, not just as clients but as a family that made Scarp the forerunner when choosing a realestate. We have just recently purchased, moved and sold and when it came to selling our home we never considered any other realtor. Anneli and all at Scarp were fantastic. They did some preparatory research and photos before our house was ready for the market. This meant that we had people lined up for sale. This whole process was just so “organic”, Anneli gave us the space to sell as time allowed, she gave us great advice and allowed us room to make the decision to accept an offer without any pressure for a sale. I would never hesitate to recommend Anneli or any of those at Scarp, honest and genuine and generous with their time, you will feel more like a friend than a client. I can easily and highly recommend Scarp Realty for your next sale.

A lot of thought went into this review as I can see the importance of a good review. Unfortunately in our case with Scarp Reality we can not give Scarp or Anneli a good review.

We recently purchased a house though Scarp and from the start of the process Anneli was not easy to work with. Anneli twice threaten to put the property back on the market while under contract. She sent us an email stating that if we had any issues at the pre settlement inspection the sellers will have no choice but to put the house back on the market. As I’m sure you can understand this just increased our stress in what was already a stressful situation.

Sadly, Anneli did not provide the seller with the education on a complex sell that required a number of houses to settle on the one day. Whenever we had concerns Anneli’s reply was often “the buyer will put the house back on the market” and that “We’d hurt the feelings of the sellers”. Our experience was so disappointing as to our face Anneli was very pleasant but then would either email or text us in a way we felt that was very threatening. Anneli did allow as to inspect the house prior to the house going to open market, which at the time we were grateful for, but during the process of the settlement this was held against us.

As I read the other reviews on google I note that only one other buyer has written a review, the rest are sellers. I recognise that when selling a property you look for different things. If you are selling a house I’m sure Anneli is great as in our experience Anneli was ruthless towards the buyer but I would not recommend buying house from Anneli or Scarp Reality. We do feel very lucky to now have a beautiful house in the hills it is just unfortunate the experience we had during the process of buying the property.
