If you are looking for an agent to manage your property, I would seriously reconsider using Darrell Crouch at all costs and to save yourself the frustration, rudeness and unprofessionalism I received throughout my contract with DC.

I am a landlord who has had their property managed through Darrell Crouch and Associates since April 2019 and ended in May 2020. I would have liked to end my property management sooner, after raising my concerns and disappointment in service since September 2019, but was optimistic in thinking it was an 'one off moment' and things would improve, as promised.

In summary there is a huge breakdown and lack of communications. There is no pride in the quality and service provided to both landlords and tenants. And just in general - care is no factor in the way this company operates.

After months of providing constant feedback, emails and respectful conversations with the various team members (who I will not name) over the phone, it was clear that the issue is something that has stemmed from the top, after I received an extremely rude email from Darrell himself at the end of my contract in May 2020.

My previous managing agent (Professionals West Coast, who was astounding) went through a merger (for personal family reasons) with DC and as a result my property transitioned to the Darrell Crouch group.

Since having my property managed through Darrell Crouch, I have had to continually chase errors in the statements and picked up discrepancies in bills and payments.

A water leak was picked up by myself in August 2019 when I noticed the bills were substantially higher than usual (+$400). The agent had the leak fixed and application lodged with Water Corp.

I was charged the Water bills for the 2 months of the leak (Jul-Aug 2019). I received no communications or updates on the matter. In fact, my managing agent completely forgot about the issue when I followed up (for the third time) in January 2020.

I continually expressed my disappointment in the service to receive no acknowledgement, apology or empathy on the matter.

I was finally able to escalate my issue in April 2020, when it was then investigated and resolved by the Team Leader at DC after 8 months of following up the issue, where it was found the application had not even been lodged with the Water Corp in the first place.

This is just one of the examples of the many errors picked up and issues experienced and raised. Other examples include inspections being charged and never emailed through, until followed up and requested.

When the issue was finally escalated and cross checked by the Team Lead, it was also picked up that bills had not been charged to the tenant for the previous year and incorrect maintenance fees were charged to the tenant.

My tenant was sent an email to pay all of these fees at once with no explanation or context on the matter.

I find it shocking that this business is still able to operate and continue to treat people the way they do and get away with it.

I would hate to be the owner of one of the owners of 9 Raymond st, Rang Donna from Darrell Crouch to enquire about a rental and she asks how I got her number?? (It's listed on their website) completely unhelpful and a waste of time.
