I was really disappointed with the service from Ed The Fridge Man. They first came out when my fridge stopped working and said that the fan was playing up because the freezer frost had caused it to stop. I was surprised because my freezer was frost free, but they fixed the problem and charged me an $80 callout fee which I thought was fairly reasonable. Six months later, the same thing happened and I called them out again and they said they thought it was the fan belt and ordered the part to replace it which cost about $160 (including the callout fee). This did not fix the problem and when we called them out again a week later, they told us it would be another $150+. When we balked at the additional amount arguing that we could have bought another second-hand fridge for the amount they were charging, and why did we bother paying for a part that hadn't fixed the problem in the first place, they had the nerve to say they would take the fridge off our hands if we paid them $200. Bloody Highway Robbery!! We got another contractor to look it at and the fridge is as good as new.
