This place has beautiful landscaping, a decent location, wonderful amenities including bicycles, laundry, DVDs, A/C, full fridge, freezer, cooktop, microwave, a lovely and well maintained pool, and as a nice touch, they’ve included Bundaberg soda in the fridge on arrival. Great also to have the option to save by avoiding room servicing. The people who work here are friendly and helpful and they will assist with booking transfers and tours and are very responsive to guest needs. I would overall highly recommend Pink Flamingo as a tranquil spot great for basing your stay in Port Douglas. My only caveat is that this may not be ideal for female solo travelers (which I was) as the villa I stayed in was a bit exposed (a Stand-alone with a gate and wall around it). Despite the gate, the unit looked out onto the outdoors with no screens/curtains in the front area and even closing all the screens didn’t eliminate noise/feeling of being able to be heard. That said, when I was nervous about security after hours, Sam was so kind as to fix my gate despite late hours and bad weather. Thanks guys!
