Great location, Great food and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. Bob owns the place and spent time with us having a chat before and after the meal. He was such a lovely down to earth guy with a love of cooking and cars. Highly recommend eating at the Old Ghan Restaurant. Make sure you call up and book. We were fortunate to be able to try some freshly baked Quondong & Apple Pie with that really delicious old school traditional style pastry, which reminded me of when my gran used to make deserts growing up (We were so full after the meal, we had to take away the desert, so no ice cream, but it was worth it). Highly recommend eating at the Old Ghan Restaurant with time to watch the sun setting out the front of the restaurant across the road.
