I’m one of those people who only gives out 4 stars as a maximum, but this restaurant gets 5 easily! If Cosy Dels was on who’s got talent they would get the Golden Buzzer. The experience was fantastic! We sat down and it was as if they knew what we wanted. The food was out of this world, I have a nonna and their pasta was probably some of the best, freshest pasta I have ever had, the steak isn’t worthy of being called a steak, it was way more than that! By far, the best place I have eaten at without a doubt. All of those restaurants at the crown, along the Subi strip, albany highway etc they are as mediocre and overpriced as they come when you stack it up against Cosy Del’s. Get in there now before the chef goes and conquers the world!!!

Cosy indeed! We had a lovely dinner at Cosy Del's. The atmosphere is mellow and sophisticated without being pretentious.

The restaurant kind of shares a location with Laika cafe in a row of shops. They are separated by a wall, with an open doorway. While laika has a bigger kitchen and seating area, Cosy Del's has a strip of tables along one side wall and opens up to more tables in the back yard that is shared with Laika. There's also a couple of small tables available on the pavement in front of the restaurant. There's ample parking, some right in front of the restaurant and plenty round the nearby park and school. The tiny open kitchen is in the middle of the place and efficiently staffed with three or four people.

The wait staff were lovely and friendly, they really get the balance of attentiveness right. Food was served pretty quickly considering how many tables were full.

The menu is quite small, and mostly seem to be made for sharing. The dishes we choose were all delicious and done well. We had the Burrata with pickled fennel - this came in a little pool of salsa rossa and oil with some thin toasted focaccia crackers, it was a really nice starter, light and fresh

Octopus spiedion with cannellini salmoriglio - kind of tasted like a mild lemony hummus puree with a skewer of grilled octopus on it, it was lovely although the portion seemed a bit small compared to the other dishes.

We got extra sourdough with smoked butter to go with the two first dishes - there's never enough bread/crackers to go with cheese at restaurants!

Tagliatelle - burro asido, asparagus, primo sale and hazel. The pasta noodles were really thin ribbons and cooked perfectly. There wasn't sauce so much as asparagus, kale and hazelnuts fried in burro asido - that coated the pasta nicely primo sale crumbled on top.

Black Angus scotchy - romesco, potatoes, and garden herbs. The steak was a generous portion and perfectly cooked to medium rare (they didn't ask for our preference, so if you would like a more 'done' steak you would have to specify) served on a puree that tasted like roast capsicum with herbs and some picked shallots on top. I found this to be very slightly to be the only dish that was a bit salty, but overall still delicious. It comes with a side plate of potatoes.

We also got the Panna Cotta - mulberry lemon thyme shortbread, beet. This was the only dessert option. Really delicious. The Panna Cotta itself was very soft but held its shape, perfect wobble. The accompanying sauce and crumble complemented the pudding so well.

This restaurant would be perfect for an intimate date where you're comfortable enough to share food - like an anniversary dinner. I think in weeknights they have a more relaxed family friendly vibe with like pizzas and live music in the backyard.
