I had a similar experience as another reviewer. For my initial QEH Rheumatologist appointment I saw Rischmueller. She was cold and it was a very perfunctory examination. After dealing with constant pain for 20 years, I was just relieved to finally be seen, after being on the public waitlist for 3 1/2 years. I told her I believed I had fibromyalgia due to my symptoms and research. She dismissed my having the things she specialised in (arthritis, etc) and was ending my appointment as if that were it. She couldn’t help me so we were done. I continued to ask what else could be done, who else could I see, because after years on the waitlist I wasn’t leaving it at this. She muttered something about it maybe being better for me to speak to another doctor who specialised in pain - ya think?! I said yes, I would like to see this person. Four-five months later my second appointment was over the phone due to COVID and *not* with the person she mentioned. Terrible experience and just the beginning of many within the public system Rheumatology Clinic at QEH. The apathy is palpable.
