Last September, being 19 years old, it was basically impossible for my to hire a car that I could drive, and hire bikes were so expensive, and then I found these guys,

With the option of a scooter (my parents would never let me in my life, plus I had other plans) OR a Mountain Bike, the mountain bike was my choice. The staff were very helpful and were happy to help when my plans changed to extend the use of the bike for a few days,

If you are under age to hire a car I would highly recommend having a look at these guys, they will help you out (also mountain bikes can go on the Ferries in the NT but no cars or motorised vehicles, so if you want to explore some of the other sections of Darwin, as long as they aren’t off road, then this is a good idea)

Went here to see about fixing a broken mud guard on the front wheel but was told there isn't a dealership for my parts in Darwin so they couldn't do it.

I needed new tyres anyway and a service too so asked if they could do this and was told yes.

The following day I was called about 2:30pm and told the bike was ready to be picked up I came about an hour later. After paying approx. $450 for a service and 2 tyres. I went to start the scooter and it was unresponsive. They questioned if the battery was good, (which hasn't been a problem before arriving here) I was told the battery was flat and they would charge it over night.

The next day I went in to find I had another bill of approximately $130 for a new battery and fixing electrics.

I find it very difficult to understand how a battery goes flat in an hour especially after it has had an "electrical test" as stated in the service and a "test ride". I asked how do you ride a bike that doesn't start?.. "it must have drained after the test"... 1 hour for a battery to drain is questionable if you ask me.

I asked for an explanation and was confronted by a very unprofessional man who spoke over me and wouldn't allow me to talk after I decided I would talk over him to get my questions across he said I'm not going to argue and stormed off to get the manager, he was a lot more calm and I could talk to him however when I asked for an explanation he said there was electrical tape and staples holding wires together (was there not an electric test done as previously stated?) Beyond that he basically shrugged his shoulders.

I will never be back to this store as I had a very poor experience and would never recommend this place to anyone.
