My kids have loved driving pass the big Barra. We have always nicknamed him big Barry. Now they go to Wanguri school and get to see him every school day.
"Symbolism on a grand scale - ONE of the biggest barra statues in the country has joined a Territory school of small children. The 4m mosaic barramundi was officially unveiled at Wanguri Primary School last
night. Students with the help of Territory artist Techy Masero
designed the barra. A competition to name thefish was held, and was won by Christopher May, 11, with ‘‘Damibilia’’ — Larrakia for Barramundi." NT News June 22, 2012
