Bought two pairs of shoes in which the heel elastic kept slipping. Thought this may have been a sizing issue so went into store to try a smaller size. The same issue occurred so I asked if I could refund as it made the shoes unwearable for me.
I was told they do not offer refunds except for faults and that my issue classed as a change of mind. I asked if the sales assistant could call a manager, she then proceeded to apparently call her regional after much reluctance.
She proceeded to head into the back room and not reappear for 10 minutes in which she said the regional said the same thing and a refund could not be issued. Did she even call the regional, I’m sure she didn’t as it was unprofessional practice to walk away.
I then asked if there was an online customer care link / number which she did not offer much help with and so I left.
I did not believe I was rude in tone as I also work in retail however the customer service was below average and their reluctance to help was not very professional. I will not be purchasing anything further due to their ridiculous returns policy and unhelpful staff.
