Freo. is one of WA's very best kept secrets...
Of course, it's important that we continue to keep it relatively concealed from the Eastern Staters ..
eg by the local Freo.footy team not making too many finals in too many years..
But in all seriousness...it is just an amazing experience !!!
There are so many things to do and see...
Iconic bars, funky restaurants, Freo markets, the cappucino strip, hidden malls, lots and lots of local history, the Fremantle boat harbour (where the Americas Cup was once run from), the infamous Fremantle gaol, the Freo. Cemetery (where Bon Scott is buried ), Notre Dame University ( nestled in the heritage buildings in the West End), the most interesting, friendly and quirky locals....
And so much more!!!
It is not just a concrete jungle like most large Australian cities.
