Starting A Business When I decided that starting a business was the direction I had to go in order to achieve my goals. With no experience at being self employed and a tiny budget to start off with I came across an article not that different to this one which claimed that starting a business was not only a good idea, but something which was well within my capability. There were some conditions of course. Even though this was a home based business it was still a business and as such I would have to commit to putting in a certain amount of time (about 20 hrs per week) and follow the business plan provided. This suited me perfectly but even better was the fact that the support and mentoring I received from other more experienced operators made the difference between succeeding in my new business venture or just falling by the wayside as I had seen others do in the past.
