Wave Shapes provides very comprehensive surfboard design and computer driven machine shaping services to help you reproduce an existing board, modify or refine a surfboard or even completely design a new board.
Our surfboard shaping include designs that are produced by CNC machines. There are two options available: Pre-Shape or Easy-shape.

Murray and Graeme Smith designed and constructed the world’s first five axis pantograph surfboard shaping machine in 1989. The latest state of the art computerized machines currently in use at Wave Shapes Gosford factory were also designed and manufactured in house. Murray’s computer programming and tool making talents coupled with Graeme’s engineering and CAD drafting experience were combined to produce the worlds only “by 6” (can cut up to six blanks simultaneously) computer driven surfboard shaping machines.
Design knowledge acquired whilst working with many of the worlds best surfboard shapers since 1989 has enabled Wave Shapes to reproduce an existing board exactly or produce a refined surfboard design from a shaper or customer’s basic dimensions.
