I highly recommend the astronomy tour. A beautiful spot on the tablelands learning about stars, constellations and where to spot things in the sky. It was very informational and a wonderful experience.
Ian is a really lovely guy, I've booked my Nexstar 130SLT in to have the primary mirror cleaned. He's happy to chat and share his knowledge in a manner that everyone would understand. His fees are very modest considering it's a specialised field, it is a lot cheaper than I expected. It's more a labour of love I think.
He has a great selection of scopes and accessories as well as gold and gem hunting gear, so please support this local business, after all, covid is hitting them, and this is a good, honest family business. Rest assured, he doesn't sell junk, even his budget scopes are the best quality for that price range.
If you are like me, and know nothing about Telescopes, go and see him, because you'll go home with the best quality scope for your budget, and won't find out later you've bought a piece of junk.
