The Red Manor Escape Room is very well appointed and has a good jump included.
One puzzle was damaged with part of it missing resulting in a break in this very liner game.
My main piece of feedback was for our Games Master, though very enthusiastic being asked for a credit card on arrival was ok, but when it is worded ‘because you’ll be paying should you break anything’ isn’t a good opening - maybe if it was said in a joking way might have worked.
There was no explanation to what the iPad was for, apparently that was for clues - makes sense now why every puzzle has a QR code attached. An answer was given without request pushing us forward without even interacting with the puzzle, I assume they don’t like trail and error to solve things. The last one was the fact we beat the room in about 20 mins, no congratulations or even or escape time at the end was disappointing - spoke about broken puzzle at the end and got a ‘sorry bout that.’ The only other real interaction at the end was, ‘did you bring the iPad?’ and ‘Are you are not staying for a drink?’
I feel like their escape rooms are an after thought for the business, especially compared to many others in Perth, wouldn’t take much to fix, but probably won’t be back anytime soon.
