We spent three days paddling down the Katherine river with our amazing guides John and Snowy. Our group of 9 were so well taken care off and looked after it was incredible. The river kept changing constantly and the bird life was very prolific and kept us entertained. Frequent "swimming" stops kept us cool and the food provided for breaky, morning and afternoon tea and dinner was better than in any restaurant! Fresh Barra cooked over the fire and a silverside roast as well as damper from the camp oven made both dinners a five star event including candles, table cloths and napkins! Not bad for a river safari! Huge thanks to Gecko Canoeing for providing us with this unforgettable once in a lifetime experience!
