We got a pre purchase electrical inspection from PGE. Within a month it was discovered (following an electrical shock incident) the house had no earthing rod, so we had to pay for this. Further investigation found cabling size not up to code, despite being ticked on pre purchase checklist as suitable, and to replace this would cost thousands. I spent 4 months trying to get in contact with PGE for answers. We were offered a partial refund due to their acknowledgement of poor customer service in resolving the issue. We paid for a pre purchase inspection as we aren't electricians and it very much felt like a tick and flick experience that has left us out of pocket with large costs ahead for repairs. I am of the opinion that PGE are unsafe and lack accountability to their customers with poor communication skills and channels. We are going through the process of taking this further. I am not the kind of person to leave bad reviews but feel others should be warned so they don't go through the same safety and costly issues we have.
