About Carried Away with Learning Coaching Clinic
I tutor infants and primary school children in reading, writing and maths. My reading program is phonics based and has had great results with children experiencing learning difficulties. I also teach children to read expressively, to comprehend what they are reading and to use a dictionary.
With Maths I use cuisenaire rods and other concrete materials to take children back to the fundamentals of number concepts. I am a great believer in memorising number facts, rather than relying on counting on fingers, or using calculators before understanding the principles of how to solve a problem without one.
I teach English to adults.
I am also able to teach both children and adults online.
