All was o.k at drop off. I asked them to call me if there was anything aside from the service that needed to be done. I specified (twice) to call me on the LANDLINE.
They called a little while later (on the MOBILE) to say I needed 2 tyres. Strike 1.
I did say that we were flexible with time. However I was very surprised that they held the car for 8 hours for only 1.5 hours labour. I had to call near closing to find out if it was ready. 'Oh yes I was just about to call you.' Strike 2.
When I got in my car and went to close the door there were greasy handmarks all over the internal door. I went back in to ask for wet wipes. He came out with them and as he went to wipe the very obvious marks off the handle he said " Alot of this is old and hard baked on there'. Yes I guess us library workers have filthy hands all the time. Strike 3.
On the upside they do seem like nice people.
I so wanted them to be my new mechanic but that will not be happening. The search goes on. Just my personal opinion. If the above things would not bother you then go for it. From my perspective if people can't get the little things right then I am hesitant to trust them with the bigger things.
Only Went in yesterday to see ideas for new tyres and rims for my Patrol. The service the boys showed was exceptional. Showed me all tyres and rims suitable for my car and fitted everything for me in under an hour. would not hesitate to recommend this place as the customer service and promptness was exceptional .
