With the use of a VetStat chemistry analyser and a VetTest electrolyte analyser we are able to rapidly diagnose most common diseases. Starting June 2007 we now offer: Pre-anaesthetic blood screeningGeneral blood health profiles for small and large animals, including liver & kidney function profilesBlood gas monitoring and electrolyte testingGeriatric cat and dog profilesCalcium, Magnesium and Phosphate testing for large and small animals. These tests once took several days for results. They can now be performed in under an hour for most cases! Ovens and Kiewa Vets is a modern, well equipped hospital with a very large range of equipment as well as extensive veterinary expertise and knowledge.Our range of diagnostic equipment includes:UltrasonographyBlood chemistryRadiography Endoscopy (flexible & rigid) In-house microscopy & basic pathology The Kiewa Valley RunWe perform affordable house calls to the Kiewa Valley community. This allows us to make house visits twice weekly (subject to demand) to: Bright Buckland Valley Mt Beauty Kiewa Valley highway from Mt Beauty in the South up to Gundowring in the North. and nearby areas. On the 'KV run' we visit primary producers and can make routine visits for small animals (such as routine vaccinations).
