William Jean Paul de castella has a long family history of winemaking dating back to the mid1800s. His family started out at St Hubert‘s and Yering station in the Yarra Valley. His grandfather Hubert de Castella said that the best wine in Victoria would be growing north of the divide where William Jean Paul de Castella Established his vineyard Jean Paul’s vineyard.
Jean Paul’s Vineyard has won many medals over the years for the exceptional ones that he produces, not least of all BESt Shiraz in Australia under $25 at the at the Visy Great Australin Shiraz challenge in 2007 for his 2005 vintage Shiraz.
