NAISDA is Australia’s leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance and performing arts training organisation providing excellence in arts training specifically for young First Nations people aged 16 and over.
Offering full-time, nationally-accredited courses in dance and performance, our unique teaching model has been developed in powerful partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Tutors, Elders and Communities. Their cultural guidance, practice and connection places culture at the core of the NAISDA curriculum.
NAISDA is the birthplace of Bangarra Dance Theatre and since 1976 has nurtured the cultural and artistic development of thousands of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander graduates, artists and leaders
