Sir Winston Churchill knew how to appreciate good food and good wine. Usually with his beloved pet poodle, Rufus, by his side.
It is said: "The poodle ate in the dining room with the rest of the family. A cloth was laid for him on the Persian carpet beside the head of the household, and no one else ate until the butler had served Rufus's meal."
Rufus Prahran is a celebration of one man's love of the finer things in life, and his little pet dog. It harks back to bygone-era hospitality when the champagne was flowing, the martinis were dry and a whisky was sorely needed after (and sometimes before) a long day in the war room.
