The name Thorn-Clarke derives literally from the relationship between two long-time Barossa families – the Thorns, who nurtured some of the regions oldest vines, and the Clarkes, who discovered treasure buried in the bounteous Barossa soil. These two families came together in a union that created our family, our winery and, some might say, our destiny: to produce wines worthy of gold.
Today, Thorn-Clarke Wines remains a 100% family-owned producer with 6 generations of grape growing and geological heritage. Our philosophy is strongly rooted in sustainability - we believe that exceptional wines are created in the vineyard - and we pride ourselves on creating truly authentic, expressive wines.
