About John Gehrig Wines
5th generation family run and owned winery. This site was purchased in 2011 a heritage listed winery from the 1840's after John sadly passed away. Rutherglen was Johns birthplace, so to come back to where it all started seemed to make sense! John’s son Ross has now taken on the challenge of guiding the next winemaking generation of Gehrigs to craft fine wines. Ross has an obsession with producing the best grapes to produce wines of distinction that will pay homage to this iconic Northeast Victorian wine making region creating a great range of wines from sparkling, table wines & fortified wines. This venue is also perfect to host your special event if you are after the relaxed rustic charm.
